- Via Uniondale, De Rust and Willowmore, Aberdene
- Arrive in Graaff Reinet with optional excursions being:
- The beautiful Dutch reformed Church, one of the best examples of gothic architecture in South Africa
- Hester Rupert Art Museum
- Pierneef Museum
- Stretch’s Court at the Drostdy Hotel
- Reinet House
- Walk through the town to see the old homes and buildings – over 220 are National Monuments
- In the late afternoon, we go to a viewpoint that overlooks the “Valley of Desolation” in the Camdeboo National Park

- Drive to Nieu-Bethesda, a quiant little settlement outside of Graaff Reinet
- Leave in the late morning and travel via Anderdeen, Beaufort Wes, Leeugamka, Laingsburg to arrive in Matjiesforntein (Suggest a Picnic Lunch – excluded from price – to save some time)
- Overnight in Matjiesfontein

- Spend the morning in Matjiesfontein exploring

- Over du Toit’s Kloof , one of the most dramatic passes in South Africa with cliffs rising up to 2000 meters
